changing the bulb will be easy, getting to the bulb is where all the work takes place

Not rocket science, but it is intimidating taking all the stuff off to get at the bulbs. Shop manual sure helps.

(If you decide to do the job yourself or if you have a shop do it, Change all the bulbs while you got it apart. When you buy the bulbs buy them by the box/pack, way cheaper then buying individually packed. As strange as it may seem even the seat has to come off to replace the bulbs.
Things that have to be removed to get the instrument panel out.
Seat
the two fairing pockets
the radio panel
both mirrors
the molding just below the windshield.
The windshield
Also have to disconnect the speedometer to get the instrument panel off.

Where are you located ??

Yeah you have to take a lot off to get to any thing on a wing.....I am replacing a hard brake line from the rear master cylinder to the front caliper and had to remove the exhaust header on the right side and both mufflers and the collector box....not to mention all the other plastic parts to get to this parts.....LOL.

Like said above replace all of the bulbs while in there......

If you start with the saddle bags and rear tire... you can grease the splines while you are in there.
