Will using a 20W-50 weight oil rather than a 10W-40 impact the following either positively or negatively;

1) Gear whine noise ? Will it quiet the whine at all ?

2) Clutch operation ( slip or grab ) ?

3) Will Synthetic Oil engatively impact the clutch ( slippage ) ?

BTW my bike is an 85 GL1200 Interstate

Thanks, I appreciate your opinions !

MC oil

i have found Castrol MC Racing oil designed for wet clutches 10/30 to work GREAT! motor has more power, runs cooler and is quiet. it is Synthetic. i think Amzoil would be good also just as long as its rated for Motorcycles w/ wet clutch.
