Usually the owner writes the key# in the owner's manual. Also, the service shop that did/does work on the bike usually records the key#. All you need is a key# for a Honda service department to cut keys.
ignition
need to have keys made for my new GW. Do Ihave to remove the entire fairing to get to the ignition to remove it to take it in to have keys made? Want to do the work myself to get familiar with the bike and save on a locksmiths service call fee.

some hondas have the key # right on top of the lock and others have it on the bottom of the lock
