i have to tell you i love my goldwing! i just got my license this year and was gifted a cb750 that was in boxes. while putting it together a friend introduced me to an 84 aspencade. one ride and i was hooked. shes rough around the edges but man..................
i still havent finished putting together the 750, maybe i'll give it to my son. anywho... this forum seems pretty cool, nice to see some cross dressers (harley and goldwing owners) who dont have the "if it aint a harley, it aint shit mentality". i cant stand that crap. as long as you like it, thats cool. i like classic cars, hot rods, trucks, 4x4s, choppers, dressers, and have even been known to ogle a boat now and then. im a forty something that finally got some me time. kids out of college, good job with a occasional day off, a very understanding wife and the best dog. now i have a goldwing. guess i've got it all!
love the custom wing section. thinking about some mods for winter withdrawal. some trim, new paint etc. hope you guys and gals can put up with my frequent and sometimes obvious questions. thanks, and sorry bout that, in advance.

howdy. my cb750 is a 79, k model. what a great bike. good size, handles good, fun project/ride. rebuilt the carbs but still having problems. it falls flat. i'm gettin ready to bite the bullet and have them professionally done. i've taken them off and put them back so many times i wake up in a cold sweat every other night. still getting the paper work sorted out too. i got it in boxes from a guy who got it in boxes, from someone who got it in boxes........ and its moved from state to state with no paper work. oh well, anything worth having is a pain in the ass right? any experience with cb carbs? do you have one of these as well?

you know, i'm having a simular problem with my 750k. i bought the rebuild kits for the carbs and went through them, and they leaked fuel from the overflow tubes. my floats were not properly adjusted. unfortunately when properly adjusted (according to the service manual) they still leaked. i've taken them off and adjusted them so many times, i can do it in my sleep. my problem now is that she seems to fall flat about half way through throttle. i'm getting ready to bite the bullet and pay someone else to do it. ive seen a few sets on ebay fairly cheap, but they would probably still need to be gone through. maybe thats why they are for sale-same problems we're having.
my goldwing on the other hand is purring like a very large kitten. wish i could nail down my carb problems so i could use the 750 around town. hope you have better luck with yours than i am. let me know how you make out. if i come across any tips or have any luck i'll let you know. Bruce
