I just got a 1975 gold wing,but wont be able to get a manual for at least a week or so.I havent been able to figure out how the seat comes off.

Ask away, good people and good answers here. All will chime in to get a manual it can't be replaced by any amount of texting. Like you, I couldn't wait and quickly had questions. Someone familiar with the 1000's will no doubt be here soon with the answer.
By the way, we are all family here, why not fill in your profile a little so we can get to know you as well.

open the seat, it should be hinged. then remove the hinge pins

I was able to get a clymer manual today,but still havent figured out the seat yet.Oh,well,I guess that is what makes it interesting.:D.Managed to get her running today,shouldnt be to long before were on the road again.Hopefully,anyway.
