Bought a used 2004 Wing that came with hitch mounted but no receiver. Dealer advised me to buy through Wing Stuff receiver part #AO451806B. Receiver fits perfect but extension way too short. Ball rubs on rear fender. I've looked everywhere for an extension but am wondering about the total integrity of the receiver even if I find something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your receiver should be a standard 1.25" check your local auto parts store for their selection or you could have one made, where are you located?

Since you're dealing with a vertical receiver hitch, it's unlikely you're going to find anything locally unless you live in an area with access to a large hitch supplier. Here are a couple that may work for you:

With this one, you'd also need to buy a ball insert.

Any of these should be rated much higher than the hitch on your bike.

Also, read this in one of the reviews on Wingstuff:

You do not need to order this if you ordered the hitch. There is one included with the hitch. Only way you should need this is if you loose one or if you need one for a different size ball. Also, this did not look like it would work with a Kuryakyn brand hitch. It fits into the hitch OK but the hitch plate is shorter and will more than likely let the trailer coupler rub on your back fender.
Sounds like you may have a Kuryakyn hitch with a Wingstuff insert.

There are several different makers of hitches, if you can find the maker of yours you should order from them.

If you have an 1 1/4 vertical hitch receiver you can get any length hitch you want from TOTALLY WINGS they build hitches to order for all the different wings---they built my vertical hitch and receiver and it works perfectly

Thank you for your help. The dealer told me that they tried a Kuryakyn drawbar but it didn't fit. Reading the link you sent for the draw tite bar, that one is very close. By my measurements I think I'm looking at customer fabrication as the wingstuff 1 1/4" fits perfectly and provides 3 1/2" down to the plate(just enough to get under the rear fender). The draw tite doesn't look like it provides that kind of drop but the 3 1/2" rise to the ball would be almost perfect for the trailer which is 16 3/4" inches to the top of the coupler. I do appreciate the trouble you went to. If you have any other sources please send them. I will not be able to talk to a fabricator until next weekend. Thanks again.
