Hi there everyone; I'm new here, been riding for about 45 yrs..mostly Hondas.
I just picked up an 87 Aspencade...it's rough, but, I'm planning to put it back into rideable condition.
Before this I had an 83 Sabre V45 that I restored....nice ride!
I did have an 84 Aspecade...that went to heaven..fortunately I didn't follow!...LOL
This wing is in dire need of brakes, the usual stuff, air filter, oil filter.and a LOT of TLC.
The guy I got it from rode it to my place....about 125KM...so it runs well, but, he was the type that just put gas in it and went.
I'm looking to find some place to get caliper rebuild kits....anyone?

BTW, I called around to get new brake pads, they are asking me if the brakes are 10mm or 5mm...can someone enlighten me what that means??

Only one on the front right is not seized....also need fork seals, and a few bits for the body work. Can anyone in Canada. (Ontario) point me in the right direction??....Thanks.Barry.

... HOWDY ... THE 5mm-10mm IS PAD THICKNESS I BELIEVE ... NOT SURE IF THEY HAVE A REBUILD KIT MIGHT HAVE TO BUY THE WHOLE CALIPER ... DEPENDING ON THE MILEAGE YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHANGE BELTS TOO ... FRESH ANTIFREEZE ect. ... HAPPY TRAILS ...

Thanks for the replies guys; I plan to do all fluids, and definately the timming belts. The previous owner delivered the bike for me, 135km away.......he wanted a last ride..said he was doing about 120km most of the way.....now I don't want to ride it because he said he never changed the belts...it has 94,000km on it, so I'm not going to chance it.
I've already stripped it down from the fairing back.
I was surprized and pleased to find a forum like this....LOTS of great info.....thanks again guys....
