Good morning from Aurora Colorado. I recently joined the Goldwing riders world by purchasing a 1987 Aspencade. I had owned a Honda 750 from 1989 to 1992 when I was shipped to Norway. I was going to take the bike with me, but my best friend at the time took the bike and disappeared (long story and probably more suitable to a different forum). I bought my 1200 from an individual off of Craigs list and have been loving the riding. I will be retaking a riders safety course on 22 October. I have a few questions I would like to ask some already experienced riders;

When can I start riding with my wife on the back?

Where can I purchase riding gear online (Chaps, jacket, rain gear...etc...)?

What would be some good equipment to keep on the bike at all times?

Is there a place online where I can get parts should I need them?

I am sure there will be more questions as time goes on, but thank you ahead of time for your consideration for a new guy

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the bike!
Q1. You can start riding with your wife on the back when i) she is ready, ii) when you're comfortable doing solo stops at traffic lights and stop signs, and iii) after the October 22 course.
Q3. I keep rain gear for both of us, Honda's tool kit + electrical tape, duct tape, roll of electrical wire, utility knife, Chilton manual, walking shoes. That's about it.

hello and welcome to glodwing owners forum bill, i purchased my 1500 back in august ( had an '84 aspencade ) and it was just over a month before i rode anyone on it. i like to have a good feel for my bikes before putting a passenger on and that doesn't happen very often cause if you can ride you should be on your own bike not on the back of mine
