Of course just signed up and wanted to say Hi!.

A couple of weeks back I picked up my first 'Wing, a 1994 GL1500 Interstate with 54K and a nice custom paint job.

Now I will be looking into any issues to keep my eye towards at this mileage. Such as belt replacement, altenator bearings and anything else to watch for.

So far a couple of small cosmetic items and replaced some grommets is all I've found.

Talked to my local Honda dealer about getting to the air filter. Sounds like a major production I'll have to try to tackle on the weekend.

Good to be here.

Welcome along DRS, I've never found it to be to bad to get to the air filter. Just a matter of taking things apart.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

You may need alternator brushes, but probably not bearings.

Like the fossil said replacing the air filter isn't hard just a lot of stuff to take off to get to it.. Some place not all that long ago I post the steps on another thread. I'll see if I can find it.
