Ive got a 1998 gl1500 and Im searching ebay for a headlight because my sidelight lense is cracked. Does anyone know which year headlights will fit my bike and can those sidelight lenses be removed and replaced, Im pretty sure the sidelights and headlight is one unit. Im also thinking that If I can find a broken headlight assy I might be able to remove and repalce the sidelight lense only. Thanks

pepper01, You must be fairly new here so if I missed your arrival consider this a welcome. I don't know your exact answer however if you go to the following site & search the different years by the part numbers you should be able to get the info your looking for. I believe the 98 GL1500 had a change to the headlights, so it may be different than previous years.

1988 to 1997 Gold Wings had a different finish on the headlight, in 1998 the went to a clear lense, which made the headlight brighter.
You can replace the side lense, it is a seperate piec, about $50.00 check it out here
