I agree with what Dan says above, I have also had other scoots but once I got my 1500 Wing I knew I had found the bike for me. I had a Suzuki Volusia and found that the Wing handles much better than it in the twisties.
You will need to add Hwy pegs for long distance rides and there are numerous other modifications that can be made to them just like any other bike.
My wife would not allow me to sell the Wing even if I wanted to because of the comfort level for her, not that I would want to.
Be careful with slow speed maneuvers with the Wing if your not used to the weight because they are heavy but once you get used to it at slow speeds in parking lots etc. they are fine, just takes some getting used to.
Ride a 1500 if possible but you will not be disappointed.
