Last season, love2ride posted up a thread that started a Gremlin Bell giving campaign. I was first to receive one from him and was to 'Pay It Forward'. I have sense given one to gothmog, and I believe he has sent on to another member.
I would like to continue this in the way love2ride intended. If anybody is in need of a bell, please post it here and we will see if we can get the ball rolling.

(Or would that be 'get the bell ringing'?) :)

I guess i did it the wrong way. I bought one for myself last year. That's a no-no, huh? So, I have one to give, if someone has one for me??

The legend states it should be a gift to work correctly.
I'm sure one of the new members will be right along in need of one.

I did not, in fact, end up sending it on. PM's were sent, and I offered in the previous thread, but he never responded to me with any information or address. So, to keep it going, I'll send one to either of you. Maestro, if you'll send one to shimm, I'll get one on the way to you.

I'm taking several with me to give to mates that are helping out with accomodations and routes/rides etc while we're in Ireland. Don't have one personally, but that's not an outright request. Now if someone was thinking about...

I saw the bells in the cycle shop yesterday and was unaware of the story behind them. Would be cool if by our name in the forum we had a Lillian icon indicating if we had a bell or not. Think I'll pick up a bell and then find a random member to send it to.

Hear the sledges with the bells -
Goldwing bells!
What a world of merriment their melody foretells!
How they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle,
In the icy air of night!
While the stars that oversprinkle
All the heavens seem to twinkle
With a crystalline delight;
Keeping time, time, time,
In a sort of Runic rhyme,
To the tintinnabulation that so musically wells
From the bells, bells, bells, bells,
Bells, bells, bells -
From the jingling and the tinkling of the bells.

"Tumbling Tupperware" by Bella da' Mutt

Merrily, merrily down the road
I knew of the bell, not what the future forebode.
I kissed off the nonsense of the storied bell
Couldn't see spending 10 bucks on something not chromed all to hell.

Playing my tunes, hair stubble flowing in the air
What came to pass, I was 'totally' unprepared.
Tumble, thump Tumble thump Tumble thump
Tumble was the bike, thump was my rump.

Tupperware, tupperware flying thu the air
Tupperware, tupperware flying everywhere.
With cheeks clinched, knuckles white and face so pale.
Was that my bike or a community yard sale?

Had I only heeded the words of the wise.
(who knew Cantankerous was so smart, it's quite a surprise)
As I limp back to town with my story to tell
I promise to buy someone else a gremlin bell

So I can have one too!

This is like admitting you listen to Barry Manilow, but I liked it.

we are the ying- yang of the post.

You are thoughtful, wise, sincere, serious and talented.

I am not.

I am only here so others will better appreciate your talents (and here's the yang) but it also irritates the heck out of everyone too.
