Hi All,
1st I appologise if this topic has been posted before. I did a search for "GPS" first and nothing was returned. Strange?

Anyway, I have a base model '10 Wing and I want to add a TomTom GO 730 GPS, Escort radar detector and iPod to the bike. I want to do this once, the right way. Has anyone been successful in getting a radar detector, GPS and iPod all working together?

I am looking for suggestions on good mounts and how you powered your electronic gadgets. How did you get the GPS spoken instructions and radar detector warnings to your helmet? No way I will hear the radar detector go off, if it's not through the audio system or to my helmet. Do I need to get helmet speakers that plug into the bike's intercom plug? I do not need a mic - just speakers in the helmet.

Can multiple items be plugged into the aux connector via a "Y" type adaptor cable? As for the GPS, I do not want any mount that requires drilling holes in the windshield.

Am I trying to put too many gadgets on the bike? Tell me if I am nuts.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Rob

Check the Ram Mounts. They make mounts for just about anything. I have one on my 2009 for my GPS unit. They make them for different models so you can get one that works best for you. You can find them here.

Try Cyclegadgets.com,they have the Ram mounts, and others you might like. As far as getting it all to your helmet, sorry,i am of no help on that. But,i do have an Escort 8500,and i can hear it go off up to about 80mph with an open faced helmet. I have it Velcroed to a TechMount on the left bar of my 1500SE. Good Luck in your search.Ride often and Safe.
