On my 2006 GL 1800 can anybody tell me if the clutch fluid and brake fluid have to be replaced at a specific milage or just toped up when they get low; the service manual is a little hazy on this. I know the engine oil, radiator coolant and final drive gear oil have to be replaced at a specific milage.

Honda has recommended replacing brake and clutch fluid on 2 year intervals. The fluid absorbs moisture and corrodes the internals of the systems.

Good advice but few people do it on that schedule.

Two years is a good point, on all mine I remove the fluid from the reservoirs about every 3 months with a very small baster and fill it with new, this keeps the fluid fresh and the need to fully bleed the system is almost avoided. Be careful not to get any on the painted surfaces of the bike,
