My friend recently purchased a '08 GL1800 with the navigation system. He is unable to locate a way to impute coordinates. My Garmin Nuvi has a screen of its own to impute. Does the built in system have that capability?

Have your friend read the manual on the NAVI. The manual has step-by-step instructions. Unfortunately, the NAVI system is not as intuitive as most would like. =)
