I have a 1986 Honda Goldwing Aspencade 1200 and i am having trouble removing the gas tank.I just purchased Goldwing at an auction.Taking tank off to clean inside of rust.If possible can i have a diagram of gas tank removal.

Welcome to the forum. I have no way of posting a diagram on here, but maybe one of the other members can help.

From another site. No guarantee on accuracy. Good luck!
Remove the seat and top compartment
Siphon any fuel from the tank.
Remove the rear fender and rear shock absorbers.
Remove the rear wheel.
Disconnect the overflow tube from the overflow tray.
Remove the cross plate from the frame.
Disconnect the fuel gauge sensor and ground terminals
from the sensor.
Remove the battery and battery holder from the frame.
Remove the rear brake fluid reservoir from the frame.
Remove the nut holding the fuel filter bracket to the fuel
tank.
Turn the fuel valve off and remove it from the fuel tank.
Remove the fuel tank mount bolt.
Move the fuel tank to the rear and out of the frame

I would try the electrolysis method that way you dont have to take the tank off, and looks a lot easier. Hal
Plus one on this method.
