Remove the seat and top compartment
Siphon any fuel from the tank.
Remove the rear fender and rear shock absorbers.
Remove the rear wheel.
Disconnect the overflow tube from the overflow tray.
Remove the cross plate from the frame.
Disconnect the fuel gauge sensor and ground terminals
from the sensor.
Remove the battery and battery holder from the frame.
Remove the rear brake fluid reservoir from the frame.
Remove the nut holding the fuel filter bracket to the fuel
tank.
Turn the fuel valve off and remove it from the fuel tank.
Remove the fuel tank mount bolt.
Move the fuel tank to the rear and out of the frame
