In regards to my earlier post, I had mentioned having a strong gas smell while riding my new to me '88 GL1500. I have found that each time I ride, I end up with a very small puddle of fuel in the fuel overflow tray around the gas cap. It is dry when I begin and I don't see anything happening while idling. I am figuring that gas is seeping out of somewhere when under the pressure of acceleration. The cap is on tight and I don't think it has anything to do with the vent tube, but I could be wrong. I have the service manual available but would like some ideas on where to start looking for problems. As with any fuel leak, it's not going to get better by itself and I want to get it fixed before getting stranded with a problem far from here. Your help is appreciated.
