There were only two years for the fuel injected GL1200's: The 1985 GL1200 Limited and the 1986 GL1200 Aspencade SEi. Fuel injection reappeared in 2001 on the GL1800. All GL1500's have two carbs.
Had an 85 LTD. It had sat up for a year and the 2nd owner only rode it a few thousand miles in his 10 years of ownership. Ran rough when I bought it and would die at an idle. Ran a few cans of Seafoam and some Yamaha fuel injection cleaner and it all smoothed out and ran perfect. The fuel injection appears to be particularly strong in acceleration compared to other carbed 1200's.
