Howdy Bob! If your forks seem solid and you know the fork oil is pretty new, you'll probably just want to use a Sealmate to clean and re-seat the leaking seal. If you don't know when the forks were serviced and/or they seem sloppy, you'll probably just want to pull and service them. It's also an opportunity to check what you have for fork springs. Most folks would agree that Progressive Springs are a worthwhile upgrade to a GL1500's front end (about any Wing for that matter.)

Gives you a chance to inspect the two bushings per fork, too. I did this job on my '95 about 3 months ago and the bushings were really shot, so replacing them as well as the steering stem bearings tightened up the front end a lot.
