Hello, I have only been a Goldwing owner for a short time, so I hope I am not a bother with stupid questions. I bought an 84 GL1200 Interstate with low miles (17,000) at the time , now has about 21,000 on it. I have taken it on some longer trips from Nevada to Idaho and California with no problems what so ever. I take it to work every day (approx 30 miles roundtrip) The problem is that recently the morning temps have been in the mid to high 30's and the final drive (the vent on top of the housing) leaks a little oil in the mornings.(just enough to be messy a table spoon full maybe) I checked the level and it is just above the bottom of the filler hole but not too high. This morning it did it again but was an even smaller amount. I guess the answer is to not overfill my final drive. I was just wondering if this happened to anyone else and is it a sign of a problem? It never leaks a drop in the summer or on long trips. Sorry for the wordy explanation. Thank you for any responses. :):)
