Low speed noise from rear?
Hi all, I have a low speed noise coming from the final drive !! Like a clicking noise! I only notice it when slowing to a stop and start! Ohh by the way it is on the 1200 GW

A couple of questions.

How many miles?
Did you check the fluid?
When was fluid last changed?
What weight oil was used?

I changed the oil in it today . The level was fine when i drained it. Somewhat discolored. I saw no evidence of gear shavings. Could it be the knuckle in the shaft? I used honda final drive oil! 72,000 miles. Could it be the rear wheel bearing??

Thank you!! Believe it or not after riding for 2 weeks with this noise it stopped! It was a stone lodged in the rear brake!! Go figure!! I was thinking the worst and the simple was right there!!!
