Fender question. I know it's the "tire" section, but it's close to the tire...

I have this (now damaged) fender on my '82. From looking on ebay for another fender, I have come to realize that this isn't a stock fender. Does anyone know what bike this actually is for? I like the style of it better than the standard GL1100 fender.

Looks like an older Arlen Ness universal FX-XL tail dragger front fender. Check with Alen Ness and they may be able to get you close. It's kind of like a narrowed down and lowered version of an electra glide fender. They run about 400-500 dollars

I guess it would be best to try and get this one repaired. The front bolts were not tightened down and the fender, when got to speed, shifted down, rubbed against the tire, and burned/melted a hole in the top. Covered it up with a sticker temporarily to see if I could get a new one.
I looked at some Internet photos and it seems as if you are correct. Seems like it is very close to the newer Arlen Ness fenders.
