My 77 GL 100 started running on 2 cylinders yesterday. Cleverly I diagnosed a bad coil. Swapped out the 3/4 coil and it still runs on 2 cylinders. When I check voltage at the positive end I get 6.38 volts. When I disconnect the positive lead I get 3.45 volts form the ignition switch. The bike has a Martek kit on it, which was there when I got it. Could I have a bad magnet, or did I just luck out and replace a bad coil with another bad coil?
Shouldn't I get 12 volts at the coil going in? Or is it split?

Maybe I need to close the thread since it's for reference only.
Thank you Tatanka
