1987 1200 I'm swapping the brake rotors on. Ordered some from eBay that were marked for 83-87 1200. However the ones on the bike are a solid one piece rotor like I've always seen on bikes, while these new ones are more like car rotors in that there are two discs with spacers in-between.

Will these work for me? Why are they different?

I would not think that the vented rotors will work where invented were used before because you might have clearance problems with them being thicker also you may have problems with the calipers opening far enough with new pads so the brakes don't drag. Also the offset will be different from the mounting to braking edge.

Offset seemed pretty close though I didn't measure. But correct, the width of the vented rotors won't fit in the caliper mounting bracket opening.
