Help! I pulled engine to replace stator. Set T1 and cam pulley marks before pulling right belt, gear, tensioner. I left, left belt, gear, ten..on. Replaced stator and put engine back in. Both cam pulley marks were off! I was told I could set left (left-sitting on bike) cam pull marks with T1, than turn by hand the right pulley back (1-3 teeth) than put belt back on and set T1. The crank may have been turned a little before any of this. I turned crank 10 or more times and still can't line up Left CP with T1. 1-2 teeth off. What do I do to start over? Did I bend valve stems? I have no idea where the valves are set. I've seen only posts telling people to set marks before taking belts off and warning not to turn gears! Nothing about what to do if everything is off! What do people do if they buy an engine and cranks been turned, valve timing off? Engine tear down? There has to be a start over point! Help! In over my head! Dan PS. Sorry! It's a '84 GL1200
