I own a machine shop and we have a Mazak 730-5XII Variaxis which is a 5-axis machine so i decided to play around a little and make something for my bike. It is made from 6061 Aircraft Aluminum. I am also considering making other CNC parts in the near future. What do you think of these?

This will be chrome plated before it sees the road.

I can see the allure to chroming them, but I think for my tastes just the aluminum works too. If the wheels were chromed... well alrighty then!;):D Are they held with a set screw and thread compound or what?
BTW, how do you like your bag and trunk lighted moldings?

I like those but I like them un-chromed. Neat idea and as asked, tell us how you fasten them on.:) Isaac

Sweet. I bought a set of these. They are only made to fit the right side, but I modified the heck out of it to cover the left side. I, too, like the billet look.

That's not half bad for the work that goes into them. I'm game for a pair in polished rather than chrome. Keep me posted Mike
