I'm gettin' ready to change the coolant in my 98' wing, with "ethylene glycol specifically labeled for use with aluminum engines",and wondering what ratio of anti-freeze to water I should use for northern Illinois. What do most shops use? Thanks!
I'd mix it with distilled water as well. No sense in having lots of mineral to settle out and scale formations in your system. I'm rural, so I don't dare use my mineral laden well water for anything like that. Municpal water sources are safe to drink, but not necessarliy for closed systems like radiators and boilers and such.
