G'day folks. Aww, it is another wonderful day to be a new, old bike ownwer. I pulled out the 1200 to scrub it up. I find a substantial yellow trickle from from. This is odd, because I have not been aware of gas being this color. Anyway, I find a factory OEM pump from Partzilla is $190+. Is there an equivalent pump avail. for a lesser cost, NOT made in China, or do I just need to suck it up!

Sorry, Poor proof reading. Meant to say, trickle from pump.

It was a couple of years ago when I replaced my 1200's water pump. And this is what you need to do. Most likely the seal has go. You need to get the cover off and on the inside is 3 bolts. Tap the water pump out and be careful when putting it back together with the seals. If they turn when putting it back in it can leak out of the weep hole.
The color is the coolant and oil mixing past the seal.

Thank you for your contribution. It appears there is confusion. You are speaking about a water pump. My issue is the FUEL pump.

Yes................... I thought you were talking about the color of what comes out of the leak out of the water pump:whistle:. I am with the program now. If I were you, I would be getting a OEM;).

Too many off brand pumps that don't work or fail prematurely.
MRcycles has the pump assy. for $148.
First of all, make sure it is coming from the fuel pump. Yellow doesn't make sense.
