So, it’s an aftermarket, upgrade if you will, and considering that it has seen service for who knows how many years, AND tested good. I’d say it is one of the good ones. Mine ran over 100,xxx miles and was sold in the bike, with no issues ever. The later ones generated the bad reputation that has followed the brand ever since. This one seems to have proven itself reliable. Dennis Kirk shows aftermarket ones too. But I don’t know if they charge at idle like the Compu-fire.
