I want to say hello and hope to add something beneficial to this site as my experience grows with my new wing. I just purchased(rescued) a 02 Goldwing yesterday and joined here today. It's Illusion blue with 18k miles. I paid 10k for the bike. The reason I say rescued is, the former owner stored the bike outside. It's going to need a complete cleaning (restoration)this winter. I'm looking for recommendations on cleaning or restoration products that have worked for you in the past. The wheels will be the biggest challenge, he never cleaned them. I've seen neglected wheels before but these appear to have never been cleaned in 18000 miles. Thanx in advance for any help

i took my wing to a hand car wash and had them clean the wheels. whatever they use is seems to be much stronger than what can be purchased at the auto parts store. like you my wheels were pretty bad and i did not want to spend the time required with an sos pad to clean them
