Hi all, looking for recommendations for which Bypass Motorcycle CarPlay Bluetooth Headset Adapter with Passthrough USB-C Charging Port is best for 2025 GW??

Wait a cotton-picking minute…are you saying that this $24 device will allow me to use CarPlay when I’m using my half helmet (which does not have a headset)?

I’m looking at it now, online, and it looks like it has a USB-C connection on both sides…the 2021 GW has the older type USB connector in the shelter case. Does this require a USB 2 to USB-C adapter also?

Yes, but, does it require a second adapter? There’s no USB-C plug on the GW and this device requires one…unless I’m looking at the wrong one?

Here are pictures of the connection and items needed. The USB-A to USB-C adapter plugs into the GW USB-A female receptacle. The Maedhawk plugs into the USB-C female receptacle in the adapter. Your phone's USB-C cable plugs into the Maedhawk USB-C female receptacle.
It automatically connects when your turn your GW on. So nice!

You can also add this device to go wireless. Just connect maedhawk then the carlinkit. Watch Cruisemans Garage on Youtube. He explains how to set this up.

LKN Goldwing, it doesn’t work! Trying to figure out why. Message “Apple CarPlay doesn’t start due to disconnected headset” appears at the bottom of the Home Screen…

A couple things. You need to be sure nothing else connects to the bluetooth. That's in bluetooth settings. Then do Inquiry in the settings to find it. Once it's connected, you should see a headset icon in the top left of the screen. Then you plug your phone in. Cruiseman's Garage on YouTube has a video showing all the details.

I think the flashing blue light means it is looking to pair with something. Use the Inquiry in the bluetooth settings on the GW. When it pairs, you can see it show up in the background. You need to select Abort on the screen as the GW doesn't seen to close that window once it pairs. The Cruiseman's video shows this as well.

Yep. I will test it out but it worked fine after pairing the GW to the Maedhawk. Then I turned the bike off, unplugged the phone and restarted with the 3/4 helmet that has the headset and that worked also, even with the Maedhawk still plugged in. Very pleased and thanks again!
