hi
i have a ? about my rear brake pedal. the brake works fine but when i step on it the pedal doesn't return to the top unless i lift it with my toe. what causes this? the spring is hooked on and seems to be allright. it is a 1983 model, i boght it in june of 2011 and have put on over 5000 miles on it. would like some advice on this so i can start work on it this winter. thank you

Yes, flush the sytem, but make sure and clean the caliper and the pistons as well. Could be a piston hanging up. Good luck with it, and let us know how you make out.

As stated above it sounds like you need to do a complete system flush and also clean the calipers.....Hope you get it to working correctly.
