I have a problem with my back brake squeeking when applied on my 84 aspy. Only my back. I just had it inspected and the pads are fine. Any cure for this?

Go to Auto Zone or equilivent and get some Anti-Squeal. I comes in a small tube and coat the back of the pads, let set a few minuites. Worked on cars for years.

sometimes the pad is not sliding across the pins like they should and that will cause a squeal too

Brake pad composition will cause this along with a half dozen other things...not servicing the slides and pins/bushings or even just dust build-up in the pads.OEM pads are the least likely to squeal and work the best IMHO,but the calipers and mounting pins need to be properly serviced no matter what pads you use.
