I am checking out a 2003 goldwing that its brake lights will not work. The spoiler brake light works but the main lights will not. I have check the plug under the seat and the green/red wire has power when the brake is applied and there is continuity from the taillight to the plug. What is need to be check next - help!

Do they not work with either the rear brake pedal and the front hand brake lever?

Just found out that if I disconnect the plug under the seat and test the voltage when the brake is applied I will get 12 volts - but when I re-connect the test voltage is 0 - can anyone tell me why?

Look for no ground at the rear lights, bad pins or socket in the connector, wiring harness could be bad.
