The weather prevented me from making a trip to Crater Lake..... so I started shopping around. That is dangerous.

I have had many different types of bikes but I have never had a sport tourer. I have a riding buddy who rides a Concours and I have ridden it a few times and thought I might want to give one of these a try and see how that goes.

It is an 02 with 2500 miles on it. It is new to me!

I pick it up on Monday.

Relax..... they don't make a car tire that fits this one.

That is a good looking bike. I haver never paid much attention to those. What is the CC of it? I would be interested[ to see how you feel after 300 miles on it. How does it compare to your Goldwing? Just curious. Does look good though for a sport. dw/B]

1000 cc. I just know it is pretty quick.

When I got my Wing, I lost interest in a Volusia (v twin cruiser) and a Honda Helix. I just didn't ride them as I got real comfortable with the wing.

My friend has no problems keeping up with me on the wing and him on his Concours through 400 miles. He is ready to be done around then.

Choppin posted a Wing doing the Dragon.... and I commented on that very same thing. I guess it is only 3000 miles or something like that, one way. That would probably take me 2 months to get there....... as I would want to watch a baseball game in every stadium along the way.

I saw the thread and that is why I was ribbing you to come. I am a baseball fan and we have often talked of chasing the Whitesox around when they travel.

Ok, 2 months, I'll see ya in Sept.

You really need to find a better tire if you're gonna come this far.
The least you could do is fit another motorcycle tire on this bike to keep us interested.

Not to hijack this tread or anything, but have I ever mentioned that I have a car tire on the back of my wing? It has been on there now for over 7,000 miles.

I did notice that the fella in the video doing the Dragon had a car tire on it too. That is probably why he scraped his pegs a few times.

There must be something about the Concours and the Goldwing. " joeincalif " traded in his Wing for a Concours last year.

Connies are great bikes and make a good compliment to the Wing. They have a good reputation for reliability. I'm jealous.
