Everything on bike is dead, It is a 2005 model and it is the battery fuse not the main fuse that is blowing/
Ok, but is your new battery the correct one with the positive post at the rear and negative to the front of the bike? If not, you may have already shorted a diode in the audio unit that will need repaired.

Rob, the OP was on another site. I mentioned the same thing about the battery and reverse polarity. He said fuse #22 is blowing. Looking at the wiring diagram that fuse feeds multiple places. I also mention the diode in the audio system. He has not responded on the other site.

He may be embarrassed if the backward battery syndrome got him. It sucks, but happens. If he comes back and it was the reverse polarity thing, he should just get the correct battery and leave the bike sit for 24hrs before installing it. It might fix itself, we’ve seen it before.;)
