Baton Rouge

I don't have a Gold Wing...yet. I've primarily been a sport bike/sport touring bike kind of guy, but I made the mistake of riding my buddy's Gold Wing with the wife in tow and she just loves the comfort of the Gold Wing pillion over any of my sport-tourers plus the fact that he had an intercom, CB and a radio/CD. My other bikes are a 2006 Triumph Sprint ST (My favorite bike! basically a GSX-R 750 with bags), a 2004 Honda ST 1300 (sneaky quick with great air flow control), a 2007 Triumph Speed Triple (Wheelie fun bike), and a 2007 Suzuki Burgman 400 (my commuter). My friend WARNED me that if I rode it...I was expecting him to tell me that if I dropped the bike I had to pay for the damages, but he told me "If you ride it," a long pause and then he said "you'll have to buy your own". I may not buy a GW, but because of my wife's reaction, it definitely moved up a couple of notches on the short list should one become available at the right price.
My questions are: 1) On hot days in stop and stop traffic with temperatures in the high 90's or above do you experience excessive heat coming off the engine? My Honda ST 1300 is great during the fall or even winter because I have a heated Corbin seat, but during the summer it is my own personal barbeque pit with my lower legs and thighs on the spit. 2) I didn't ride my friend's bike real aggressively, but can you do anything to increase the lean angle of the bike. I regularly rub the lean angle indicators off the footpegs of my ST1300 and occasionally have to replace the whole thing when I get into the body of the footpeg. I rode a couple of track days with C.L.A.S.S. and had the opportunity to do some amazing rides on the back of Reg Pridmore's K-1100LT when he was sponsored by BMW (around 1990 or so when I lived on Fort Ord, CA which is on the back side of Laguna Seca). The GW carries her weight well, but she is still a big girl with large bones as is my ST1300. I'm not looking to pop wheelies or do burn outs with the big girl, but do any of you guys ride it almost like a sport bike? I'm sure that there has to be some of you guys from TN, AR, NC, CA or some other states with mountains that likes to have a little fun. I don't live in the mountains, but I like to make my own little test track with whatever curves are available here. Any info is much appreciated.
