The left helmet speaker (J&M headset) quit a few days ago. Got monkeying yesterday morning before our BBQ ride and spliced in a speaker from an old headset. Tested it before inserting it into the lid, and it worked fine. Put it in the helmet and poof, no left speaker. Reckon it was the headset harness not the speaker after all. Anybody else had this happen?:(
So, looks like a new headset is in order. Not going to get extravegant this year, but might go the bluetooth route next year both for me and herself. Any drawbacks that anyone has found with the bluetooth set up? I don't care to much about hooking up the i-phone or such, but the wireless is intriguing to say the least. Battery charging seems to be the biggest pain to the system.

I've had the same problem and it was always just a bad connection.

Hey Red Baron,

I use the J&M 2 piece set. That way if a chord goes south you're just buying a chord not the whole headset. This is the one.

Wireless stuff is intriguing I would agree but like you said the recharging thing I would have to think about.
