Im looking for methods that some of you may have to clean up poorly maintained aluminum parts on the bike. The rocker covers on mine are in really bad shape.
My bike is in great shape, prev owner just was not into cleaning it.

My bikes first and previous owner neglected the back wheel brake side. In the spring I was considering using a power washer with the single stream nozzel first. The rims are easy to get to but the inside " spoke " area is a bear.

Go to ace hardware and get fine bronze wool (not steel) then use never dull (available at any auto parts). Your al will look like chrome!

I will have to give this method a shot. Bronze wool..hummmm.

Bronze wool....I'll be trying it. Just yesterday I was bored so went down to garage, cracked a box of beer and cleaned my Wings wheels. I tried every chemical I had and it still had these rough dirty spots on the rims. So it's bronze wool soon. Thanks for the tip.
