This may be a dumb question, but does anybody know how much deceleration force is required to set off the airbag? I just read a post on another forum about a guy in Florida that t-boned a Nissan at 37 mph and all he got was bruises on his shins. Totalled the bike though.

Not sure of the force but here is a "Chrash Test" of the Goldwings Airbag.

It's been a while since I worked in the accident reconstruction field, but I believe the minimum trigger speed for a car is 25 mph. I would assume it to be somewhere near the same for the Wing
