I came across this 2015, 1400 mile, XL1200C Sportster at the local Honda/Triumph dealership about a month ago, it was in pristine stock condition, and priced about $500 under NADA 'book'.

I brought it home, ordered a pair of 13.5 inch Progressive rear shocks for it, and found a set of OEM 'mid-position' foot controls on eBay to correct it's two major flaws, which are the unforgivably worthless 2.12 inch travel torture devices they think (HD) pass as 'rear suspension'.

The other major flaw (IMO, of course), are the forward foot controls that make one feel like they're on a birthing chair rather than a motorcycle.

Regardless, the Sportster is now in a classic 'standard' configuration, and I really like it this way.....and so does my spine.

Hey, looks good! Good call on the rear shocks, I remember those lame stockers all too well. Even a freeway expansion joint would bottom them out.:frown2:
