Accessory terminals and heated gear....

2166 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  dshane
Hello,
I just picked up a new to me 2018 Tour 6M with 12K on her. Can the accessory terminals on the fuse box handle heated gear? Or should I go straight to the battery?

Thank you all for your wisdom.

I went straight to the battery with heated gear on my 2010.

I did the same as Mark. Straight to the battery so I can choose the correct fuse to operate the gear safely. I use a jacket and gloves.

Straight run to battery with a fuse and use it as a battery tender connection as well.

Alternatively, add a secondary fuse panel.

My heated gear connection is separate from my battery tender connection but both go straight (fused) to the battery. I can also use the battery tender connection to power the small air compressor that I carry.
