I have a 2018 non tour DCT wing, and one of the things i added was a center stand (it seems like the rear tire is always needing air) -- the seat rail on the 2018 is deep enough to get your fingers under, but you can't wrap them around and get a good grip -- the result being you can lift the bike onto the center stand only if you have the finger strength of the hulk

going through some stuff i found a nice length of fat rope which i made into a circle with a square knot -- looping the rope under the bags and mufflers and twisting the rope around my wrist i can lift the bike onto the center stand with the full strength of my legs and arms, seat rail be damned

Yes I had the same problem. I added the centerstand and then couldn't get a good grip on those OEM rails. I decided to get these Grab Rails
not only for the purpose of getting the bike on the centerstand but to be able to tie/strap things more securely on the rear seat.

I purchased the grab rails for a 2020 Goldwing to install on my 2018. Pricey but fit perfectly.
