Besides the obvious "don't push the Mute button", what is the fix for the sticky mute button? I can eventually get it unstuck but it's mostly random chance that gets it unstuck. Is it possible or necessary to get inside the unit and clean/fix/replace something?
Thanks!

I think you can take it apart, but not sure how difficult it is. Did you try blowing air into the switch to remove dirt and debris? Sometimes they get clogged with junk. A lot of guys have the same problem with the cruse button, so they push it in and leave it in. Can't do that with the mute though.

the air hose is a good idea. If that doesn't work try a good electrical contact cleaner

I've used electronic contact cleaner on mine, though I should hit the 4-way button and the turn signals sometime soon. Don't you just hate that heavy dew that comes around sometimes when you ride? Always gummed up the front brake switch on the GS550 I had ridden for many years.
