I just bought a set of Avon Cobra Chrome AV91 and AV92 bias ply tires for my 96SE. I found them on Walmart's website, of all places. Date codes are March and May of 2019.
Both tires + tax - daughter's 10% discount = $230, shipping was free. Even without the discount $250 for a set of tires seems like a deal. Sure beats any dealer or motorcycle retailer I have found.
SCORE as far as I'm concerned.

Cobras may be fine on the 1500, but have heard many negative reports on the 1800 tires. Cupping, bulges, out of round., but hey, it's your life...
