I'm the proud owner of my first motorcycle, an 83 Innerstate in great shape. I'm going thru it and fixing minor items. However this may not be minor. I have noticed the headlight goes out at 6000rpm. Comes back on when you flip the switch (add-on switch). The other stock lights stay on (no aftermarket lights). Any ideas? I plan on checking the new switch and it's associated connections first. Is there any kind of over-voltage or spike protection built-in to the light blub?
