Just put new head gaskets on my 1100 and overhauled carbs along with new thermostat. Started engine runs fairly good but overheats and now has white smoke coming out of exhaust. Any suggestions on what I should do next? Would appreciate any advice please.
Welcome to the GWOF gafwing , just a quick comment White smoke is always coolant,Blue Smoke oil, black Smoke gas.Did you run it long enough to burn off any excess coolant after the rebuild that may have got in a piston or valve. What do the plugs look like, any moisture? Did any coolant spill into the exhaust pipes.Overheating,is the coolant circulating. Check the simple stuff first.
hello gafwing I have a 81 wing when i drain cooling system and refill i had an air bubble I let it sit and cool and refilled again and that helped alot
