Hi, I just bought a 82 goldwing and have been noticing when it is cold and lighly reving the engine it seems to have a knocking sound. I notice this also when I first start to take off. If I start with higher rpm's it seems to be lesser in noise and when the engine is warm it lessens some. Almost feels as if it is no firing all alll cylinders also at low rpms but runs great on the road. any suggetions. is this normal?

Hi Mandride
Welcome to this board. your problem may not be any thing at all ,but then again there are a few things that you can check.Have you checked or changed the oil ?, check Plugs ? What has the last owner done. I would get some other opinions from others that have a bike like yours, and have them test ride.Honda's in general seem to be cold blooded, like some Gals I know. I'm sure you will get plenty of Idea's from all. Good luck from WA9FWT Phil
