Just picked up an 81 Interstate GL1100. Was stored outside for two years and was told it ran back then. After further inspection after we got it home, we found out the motor is locked up. I'm not a happy biker right now. Any suggestions, other than tearing it apart, on freeing up this engine. I'm guessing things corrode or rust, but nothing should be broken. Some suggestions, please! thanks

... HOWDY ... THIS IS A TOUGH CALL ... DO YOU TRY TO FREE IT UP HOPING NOT TO CAUSE ANYMORE DAMAGE ie: scoring the cylinders ... OR JUST START WRENCHING ON IT ... WILL THE BIKE BE WORTH THE TIME - TROUBLE AND $$$ TO GET IT ROLLING AGAIN ... IF I WAS GOING TO TRY TO GET IT ROLLING AGAIN ... I'D GET OUT THE WRENCHES AND PENATRATING OIL ... HAPPY TRAILS ...

I think I'm going to look for a reasonably price engine, if not I'll take on the challenge of taking it apart
